1.The first thing to do in developing a part-time house cleaning business is to decide how many hours or houses you want to clean a week.
2.Have some business cards
made and visit Real Estate offices and put your cards in the mail slots of the realtors. In many cases, sellers or buyers will ask the agent for referrals to get the house cleaned. You can walk through the neighborhood and leave your card on front doors. Look for bulletin boards and put your cards there. Most of all, tell your friends about your new venture and ask them to share the info. around.

3.Put a good catchy phrase on your voice mail and let all your calls go there. Call them back when you are refreshed and energized.
4.When you talk with a prospective client do not give a price. Visit the house to see what has to be done and approximately how long it will take. You can charge by the hour or job. Call other house cleaners in your area to see what their going rate is and then price comparably.

5.When the job is finished get the owner to sign off on your work. Ask for referrals and a testimony.
