Buying a carpet cleaner is a considerable investment. So you will want to ensure that not only are you getting your money's worth, but also that the cleaner you buy is easy to use and gets the job done quickly and easily without too much fuss or expense.

Below I've listed some important questions to ask yourself when looking at best carpet cleaner reviews...

How well will the machine clean your carpet?

Are there any types of carpet that the cleaner will not be able to clean? Some cleaners may not do a good job on wool or dark colors for example.

Does the cleaner reach the edges? That can be important, especially in doing stairs.

Is the cleaner easy to maneuver and how light/heavy is it?

What method of cleaning does the cleaner use? There are several different methods and some individuals with allergies may prefer one method over the other.

Are the instructions provided clear and easy to understand? Do they include tips on the best way to use the cleaner to its full advantage? Is there a customer care number or website provided by the maker?

If the cleaner uses a water based method, how much water does it hold? Believe me, you don't want to have to empty the drain tank every time you make one pass over the carpet.

What about old stains? Do you need to pre-treat stains or will the cleaner handle them during the regular cleaning process?

How does the cleaner deal with pet hair and dander? What about Pet Stains?

Are solutions for the cleaner easily obtained or can you use readily available cleaners? Are they expensive?

Many of these basic questions should be answered for you in the carpet cleaner review. You may have to read several reviews to get a good idea of which carpet cleaner is best for you and your home.

Remember, read the carpet cleaner reviews carefully and know what your needs are, before you buy and you won't go wrong.
